LLI/NOVA Relies Upon Volunteers
What is Volunteerism?
The Lifetime Learning Institute of Northern Virginia (LLI/NOVA) is operated by volunteers. Our existence and success depend on tapping the talents and time of our members. We strongly encourage continuing and new members to seek some aspect of LLI/NOVA that will be rewarded by your contribution of expertise and/or time. Getting involved not only affords personal enrichment but assures LLI/NOVA’s continued growth and prosperity.

Develop a Class
Either develop a class yourself or identify potential presenters who could work with our Curriculum Committee. Contact: curriculum@llinova.org. (click the link) or any Curriculum Committee member or propose a class by submitting a class proposal (click the link).
Present a Class
If you have a particular area of expertise, talent or knowledge from your years in the workforce or general life experiences, share with LLI/NOVA! Many of our instructors are LLI/NOVA members, and we would love to hear what you have to say. Identify a Forum Speaker
If you know someone with a particular area of expertise or knowledge, and they would be interested in being a speaker at LLI/NOVA’s monthly Forum, contact Patti Volz at pvolz63@gmail.com (click the link).
Serve on a Committee
Some options include: Nominating Committee (recruiting prospective Board of Directors members and officers), the LLI/NOVA Newsletter, Membership Outreach, Automation (LLI/NOVA website), Budget and Finance, Community Outreach, or Curriculum committees. Serve on the Board of Directors
The Board consists of 15 members who each serve for three years. Serving on the Board gives you a voice in our governance! Contact: Patti Volz at pvolz63@gmail.com (click the link).
Office Support
When needed, help with mailings, filing, etc. Contact or Administrator: Janice Viola at 703-323-3746 or admin@llinova.org.
Tech Support
Assist with Audio/Visual equipment at various classes or events. Contact: Paul Hopler (click the link).
Automation Support

Hospitality
