Winter Luncheon 2023

Our annual Winter Luncheon for LLI/NOVA members and their guests will be held on Wednesday, December 6, at the Country Club of Fairfax, a lovely location beautifully decorated for the holidays. The reception will begin at 11:00 a.m. and lunch will be served at 12:00 noon. We host this annual luncheon so that everyone has the opportunity to welcome the winter season with their LLI/NOVA friends and acquaintances. In addition to partaking of a delicious lunch, guests are treated to a wonderful musical program.

We will also continue our tradition of collecting toys and those generous gifts brought by attendees to go to brighten the holidays of children under care of Bethany House.

Note from the Chair, Winter Luncheon

A special thanks to all who helped make this annual event a success! First, Bonnie Hopler, previous chair for years, provided impeccable notes and helpful conversation. Janice Viola shared much guidance and provided nametags and greeted guests. Cathy Becker helped with table decorations and greeting. Bob Huley made our online registration with credit card easy to use and to track attendee count and entrée choices. Fritz Ernst took pictures, for endless memories. Musicians donated their talents: guitarists George Simpson and Jeff Almen and pianist Mary Alexander. Also, Mary took charge of inviting our Fairfax County Board of Supervisor guests. My fellow artisan friend Dick White donated the ceramic pieces that were given to one lucky diner at each table. And thanks go to Pastry Xpo in Mosaic District for our delicious white chocolate raspberry cake dessert, and to the Country Club for a lovely meal in a splendid setting.
