LLI/NOVA is now offering Spring 2025 classes.

Registration for Spring 2025 classes will open Monday, December 23 at 9 a.m.

For online classes (Zoom), registered members will receive an email notification about a week prior to the class and again a couple of days prior to the class providing information on how to join the class.  If the class is a multi-session class, retain the Zoom information for the subsequent classes. You will only receive the reminder for the first session. You will also be sent reminders for in-person classes. Click the links below for the list of classes and how to join an online Zoom class.

Spring 2025 Class Updates

  • 25SP01 – Connecting to Family, Friends, and the World! – Session 1 has been canceled. Session 2 will go as scheduled on Friday, January 17 in CN Room 117 at 1:30pm.
  • 25SP02 – The Present and Future of the Panama Canal (1 Session) on Monday, January 13, START TIME will be 10:30am.
  • 25SP03 – The Birth of American Terrorism: White Supremacy and Lynching in the United States (1 Session) on Tuesday, January 14, at 10:00am will now be offered as a ZOOM Class.
  • 25SP06 – Local African American History in Northern Virginia – Session 1 has been canceled. Sessions 2, 3 & 4 will go as scheduled on Tuesdays, January 28, February 4, and February 11 in CN Room 117 at 1:30pm.
  • 25SP11 – Captain William Bligh: Villain or Victim? (1 Session) on Monday, February 10, START TIME will be 10:30am.
  • 25SP20 – How Christianity Lost its Jewish Roots (5 Sessions) on Tuesdays, March 4, 11, 18, 25; April 1, START TIME will be 10:00am.
  • 25SP32 – A Consequential Presidency: Harry Truman and the 1948 election (2 Sessions) on Tuesdays, April 8, 15. The correct Title for this class is Truman’s Consequential Presidency: Communism Abroad and the Red Scare at Home. The class description has been updated on the calendar.
