What is a Forum?
The LLI/NOVA Forum features a speaker who addresses an issue of widespread interest and significance. The speaker may be an author, a federal, state, or local government representative, a local television personality or businessperson, or even an LLI/NOVA member. The speaker covers multiple viewpoints on the subject matter, in order to ensure a balanced program. There is a short question and answer period after the speaker has finished.
The Forums are held monthly (except in December and during the summer) at the Little River United Church of Christ (LRUCC) at 8410 Little River Turnpike. Speaker presentation begins promptly at 10:00 a.m. and the Forum ends at 11:00 a.m. The presentation is preceded by a half-hour social period and announcements. Both LLI/NOVA members and non-members are warmly welcomed to attend. For a listing of past Forum speakers and topics in recent years, click here.
