Please join us for an informative discussion of investment and financial issues. This is a discussion group, and all are asked to contribute. The SIG Coordinator usually picks a topic for general discussion and solicits ideas from the group for future topics.

Next Meeting: Discontinued pending a new leader.

Our long-time Chair, Doug Johnson, has stepped down, but will work with a volunteer(s) to orient them to take over. This SIG has been an important part of LLI/NOVA’s program offering for years. It’s been popular and well attended. If you have an interest and some experience in finance and are willing to help, please contact President Derick Malis at derickmalis@gmail.com.

Usual Meeting Dates & Times

We normally meet on the second Thursday of each month (except July and December), from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Meeting dates also are published on this site, and any change to the normal dates/times will be noted in the Announcements area above, and in the Events calendar.

Usual Meeting Location

Currently, due to the pandemic we are meeting online/Zoom. We normally meet at the Braddock District Government Center, 9002 Burke Lake Rd., Burke, VA 22015.

Cancellation Policy

The Financial Discussion SIG normally follows the LLI/NOVA inclement weather cancellation policy (see the button at right), unless members are notified otherwise by the Coordinator.
