Who We Are!
The Lifetime Learning Institute of Northern Virginia (LLI/NOVA), affiliated with the Annandale campus of Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA), is a non-profit, member-run organization offering stimulating educational and cultural pursuits to adults age 50 and over. For a modest annual fee, LLI/NOVA provides members with more than 100 classes (virtual and in-person) year-round, informal special interest groups, monthly speaker forums, social events, and the opportunity for new friendships. Members also enjoy access to discounted visual and performing arts tickets as well as reasonably priced regional day and overnight trips along with U.S. and overseas study-travel programs. Bring a Friend to Class!
One of the great benefits of being a member of LLI/NOVA is the access to more than 130 classes presented each year. So why not show your friends, neighbors, and family how much you enjoy these classes by inviting them to one of them. Your invite can help recruit more LLI members, too!
Patti Volz, LLI/NOVA president, and the Board, encourage you to invite non-members to an LLI/NOVA class in order to “try before buying” a membership. To ensure space is available, simply let the class coordinator know if you have invited someone to an in-person class. If the class is on Zoom, all you need to do is share the Zoom link. And remember, the monthly Forum, usually held the first Wednesday of each month, always is open to guests, so feel free to bring a guest to the next Forum or pass along the Zoom link of any Forum to non-members whom you think might enjoy the program.
